The Kentucky SHRM Council is comprised of approximately 40 HR Volunteer Leaders dedicated to advancing and serving the HR profession in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Our mission is to promote the advancement of HR by supporting chapters, energizing and engaging members, and collaborating as a State Advocate with external partners. Our volunteers give of their time, energy, and expertise to advocate key HR initiatives advancing the HR profession and impacting the bottom line of Kentucky employers.
Our State Council’s current goal is Building Better HR in Kentucky. It was a rough couple of years for all of us, and especially for those we serve: our HR professionals. We believe that to accomplish our goal, we need to do the following:

Build a Better Board...
through growing the professionalism and leadership of our state and local HR leaders, giving them the resources needed for success and needed education through our state conferences.

Build a Better Workplace...
through driving workplace initiatives that focus on mental health, inclusion/diversity/equity, and encouraging businesses down new pathways that lead them to be a Best Place to Work in Kentucky.

Build a Better Workforce...
through continuing our drive of the Bus-To-Business program in collaboration with the Kentucky Chamber Workforce Center and planting the necessary seeds to help our future workforce thrive.
