SHRM Foundation Scholarships
Practicing HR requires specialized training and lots of support. That’s why each year the SHRM Foundation provides more than $500,000 in financial assistance to individuals preparing for their first job in HR or studying to fast-track their existing career in human resources. Some scholarships are available exclusively with SHRM membership. Others are open to any HR professional, student, and faculty member. All are excellent ways to access the resources you need to continue your academic pursuits and become a future HR leader in the world of work.

Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships

Student Chapter Advisor Impact Award

Recognizing that SHRM student chapter advisors are uniquely positioned to inspire, shape, and guide the next generation, the SHRM Foundation Student Chapter Advisor Impact Award will honor a deserving SHRM student chapter advisor who has made a positive impact in the life of one or more student members.
Student Membership Award

SHRM is the world’s largest professional society dedicated to serving human resources professionals at all levels and functions. Winners of this award will gain a 1-year student membership and access to a global network of HR professionals from a variety of industries.
SHRM-CP | SHRM-SCP Certification Grants
Opens: August 9, 2022 | Deadline: October 12, 2022
The SHRM Foundation offers professional grants to SHRM members seeking their SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. This grant awards one SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification exam as well as SHRM’s online Learning System.
SHRM Specialty Credential Grant
Opens: August 9, 2022 | Deadline: October 12, 2022
Build specialized knowledge and expand your influence by earning a SHRM Specialty Credential. These credentials allow HR professionals to demonstrate targeted competence in several key areas while enhancing credibility among peers and employers. Earning a SHRM Specialty Credential is an investment in your continued career development and can be accomplished by engaging in content-specific, competency-based education and achieving a successful score on an online assessment.
INCLUSION Conference Grant
Opens: April 11,2023 | Deadline: June 7, 2023
Conference attendance allows students and other members to expand their network, as well as learn and discuss issues and ideas relevant to their interests. As such, members are encouraged to apply for the INCLUSION Conference Grant, hosted this year in San Diego, CA.
